about the album

I made this EP after I felt like I experienced a section of life that left me begging for a way to express myself. The first song was a small idea I built upon after watching my first meteor shower and the song chaotic meditation came about from a therapy session where I was learning to be more in tune with my emotions. During that time, it felt like I was allowing myself to actually feel the things I was feeling instead of just gritting my teeth and hoping it passes by.

Ta dah! My first EP! At around the time I made this, I had a collection of songs that I felt had a style of my own. I had FL Studio for around two years at this point and felt really proud to show off something I made. I was still influenced heavily by future funk, breakcore, and jungle music at around this time so it bled heavily into my music production process.

Another song I made simply for fun! I wanted to do more practice with chopping up samples and going for specific moods within my music. At this time, I was worried I was having a same-face syndrome but music wise. So I tried to go for something that was a bit darker with samples that I don't usually use to help break me out of this thought process.

Grounded

about the album

This song was more of an exploration of what my style is within music. During this time in my life, I was trying to get myself to be more grounded and present within my life. I was trying to get into animation at the time to make a music video but sadly my skills in animation weren't very strong. At this time, I was listening to and inspired by a lot of breakcore and jungle music at the time and wanted to try to mix what I learned from playing around with future funk.

This was one of the first songs I successfully made in FL Studio after playing around with it for a year. I was listening to a lot of future funk at the time and inspired by music from an old rhythm game I used to play called Audition. So I sampled one of the songs into a cute future funk song where I was mainly focused on having fun with music production at the time.
